Condo Stuff

Parking - The Condo has two assigned parking places. They are on the right side as you pull into the building and are the first parking space under the building. Parking is tandem or two deep so put the car you think you will need to drive in the outer space.

Getting In - The condo is on the third floor. To get there you can either take the stairs or the elevator. The stairs may be locked and if so you will need the key which is on the ring with the condo key. To take the elevator you can enter a PIN code onto the panel to the right of the door and just push the door open. I will provide the PIN to people who are visiting.

Pool - The pool is on the ocean side of the condo. It has two gates that may be locked. There is a key hanging on the key hook in the kitchen that will unlock them. The key is on the Betty Boop key fob.

Storage Room - The condo's storage room is the first one to the left of the elevator door. The unit number(302) is on the door. There are two bikes in the room that visitors are welcome to use. If you ride them and need to use the locks, make sure you ask us for the code. There are also two beach chairs that you can use for a trip to the beach.

Television - The television is controlled with the television(Olevia) remote. To watch television you need to turn the television on and make sure the source is set to component 1. You can then use the comcast remote to turn on the cable box and select the channel you want to watch. To turn the TV off just push the power button at the top of the remote. The cable box is turned off separately with the comcast remote. It's only basic cable so here is what you get.

Mac Mini - There is a Mac Mini that is connected to the television. You have to set the source to HDMI to see the computer display. The keyboard and mouse are wireless and have switches on the bottom that I normally leave on. Please don't install applications on the computer.

Deck - There are chairs and a table in the back right bedroom closet. Please make sure they are back inside when you leave.

Internet - Yes, there is internet access in the condo. It is provided by a cable modem in the back right bedroom. You can access it by either plugging in the long cable next to the cable modem into your Ethernet port or by wireless. If you want to use the wireless make sure to ask for the passkey. Sometimes I turn the internet router off when I am away for an extended period. It is in the back right bedroom on the floor. Just plug it in and in a few minutes it will work.

Random thoughts...

Winter Considerations - In the winter there are a few more things to do. When you arrive the thermostat located by the door is set back to 57 degrees turn it up when you get there and please set it back to 57 degrees when you leave. The hot water heater is set to vacation. When you get there go into the laundry room and you will see the water heater. The thermostat knob is red and located at the bottom. Turn the knob up just below hot to increase the water temperature. Please turn it back to vacation before you leave. I will often turn the ice maker off when we are not there for an extended period. If you are out of ice open the freezer and remove the cover for the ice maker located at the top. You will see an on-off switch that you can turn to on. Again, turn it back off when you leave. Sometimes I turn the internet router off when I am away. It is in the back right bedroom on the floor. Just plug it in and in a few minutes it will work.
